Unlike the rest of the university students who are so wrapped up with the summer break, Eugen is much more interested in contributing to the Professor's project after being told that the Professor had handpicked him to help out over the summer. It was an honor to be included in the project and Eugen has every intention of learning and helping as much as he can.
Otherwise, he would have taken the first ride home to help his parents on the farm. Sun bathing and beach parties are a waste of time and money to him. Which is why instead of being outside, he's waiting in the library half an hour early for his study partner, as always. But waiting in the library alone often means he has to tolerate the annoying whispers among the band of giggling girls that seem to follow him wherever he goes. Why isn't she here yet? He muses silently, keeping his eyes studiously fixed on the textbook he's reading.
So when she finally turns up, Eugen instantly brightens up and he waves for her to sit down. "I'm beginning to think you're not coming." He chuckles at her question. "It's first day of summer, Celia. Morning classes are never this peaceful." He's not too surprise with the drinks because of course, she knows how to take care of him. It's part of the reason why he actually made effort to be nice to her when they first knew each other. Over the time, their friendship has solidified over mutual respect and care. "Coffee, please. Thank you."
Popping the can open, he hides a knowing smirk at his displeased fangirls, not caring for their ridiculous jealousy. "I heard you got accepted. Congratulation, Ms. Intern."
